After extensive planning between the technical teams of UTV and Real Image, a customized solution was worked out for the channel, and within a record installation time of two months, UTVi was launched at midnight on 26 April 2008. The channel boasts multiple Avid Interplay systems, Avid Media Composer Adrenaline systems, Avid Newscuters, iNews Journalist stations and an Avid DS Nitris system all running off the Avid Unity ISIS solutions. These solutions will offer enhanced productivity and efficiency for UTV through centralized management of media and database resources, universal desktop access to media, future-proof scalability for increased media growth and reduced infrastructure costs, by consolidating its Avid Unity ISIS and Interplay in a single centralized location.

Mr. Siyan's comprehensive knowledge of the domain, and experience garnered in working on several prestigious Broadcast projects has helped him achieve an engineering marvel with UTVi. It involved enormous amounts of schematic visualizing, planning and detailing combined with multitasking ability of managing round the clock installations at multiple locations and synchronizing complex systems within a few months!

In a remarkably short span of four months, all the equipment was ordered, landed, installed and commissioned for Broadcasting. This included equipment for three state of the art studios (two in Mumbai, one in Delhi) the NRCS and all the various peripheral equipment required to start up a 24X7 TV Station (including generators/ UPS for power backups!). This also includes all graphics, wire services and various financial data integration.

UTV currently broadcasts four satellite television channels: Bindass, Bindass movies, UTV movies and World Movies. UTV is building its network for UTVi around the unique Avid Unity ISIS system.
