All the DTS encoded songs of Boys have been mixed and mastered to be compatible with the 5.1 speaker configuration designed for home theatre systems. In the beginning, there was mono, then there was stereo (2 channels) and now there is 5.1 (6 channels), which is the experience of 360-degree surround sound right in the living room.

DTS, Digital Surround Sound is a 6 track digital sound format that makes it possible for the loudest and softest sounds to be heard with equal clarity. Apart from the left, center, right, left surround and right surround, the DTS system also has a sub woofer. In other analog sound formats the small or detailing sounds are lost as they are on the same channels as the louder sounds. For example, in a musical composition that is heavy on drums and percussions on one side and full-bodied vocals on the other, the soft melody of the flute will still be crystal clear.
