SessionTools is a stand-alone, networkable studio management database application available for both Macintosh and Windows computers. It offers a series of layouts with comprehensive features for every aspect of the operation of a modern recording or mixing facility. SessionTools was developed by internationally-renowned award-winning engineer Bob Clearmountain and his assistants Ryan Freeland and David Boucher to meet the needs of his own mixing facility. "With the number of projects I work on every year," says Clearmountain, "I need my sessions to be completely organized. That's why we developed Session Tools. It takes care of everything, from work orders, recall sheets, invoices and bookings to track sheets, tape library, box and media labels."
The application also includes special customization options, such as the ability to paste a company logo and information to be used in all sections of the system. A feature of the application is its cross-platform nature. Users can run Session Tools on a Macintosh computer in the studio, while accounts staff using PCs can access the same database over a network. SessionTools itself is completely self-contained and does not require any other application to run.
