Logic Platinum 6.1 and Higher Deliver Interim Compatibility with Pro Tools|HD Accel Emagic to Release New Version of Logic Platinum, Offering Comprehensive Compatibility

This update provides current information for users of Digidesign Pro Tools|HD Accel and Pro Tools 6.2 software in conjunction with Emagic Logic Platinum version 6.1 or higher.

Pro Tools|HD Accel and Pro Tools 6.2 software work with currently shipping versions of Logic 6.1 and higher, the Emagic System Bridge TDM, the Epic TDM collection of plug-ins, and all HTDM instruments available from Emagic. There are, however, some important limitations to consider in the interim as Emagic works towards a version of Logic Platinum that delivers full compatibility. Please be aware of the following:

• Logic 6.x does not currently support Pro Tools|HD Accel's increased maximum track/voice count.
• The TDM DSP Usage window does not distinguish between Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools|HD Accel cards
• AudioSuite plug-in preview does not function
• In addition, a Pro Tools 6.2 and Pro Tools|HD Accel user will encounter the following dialog upon launching Logic Version 6.1 or higher: "d24/P24 recognized. Please choose the desired bit depth" - simply click "OK" to dismiss this dialog.

Digidesign continues to work closely with Emagic and both companies look forward to announcements in the near future about the upcoming version of Logic Platinum, as well as new versions of the Epic TDM Plug-In collection, both tailored to take advantage of the greatly improved processing power of Pro Tools|HD Accel.
