Now Available: Plug-in/Software Purchase, Authorization, and Rental

New iLok support now enables you to purchase and download Web licenses (or, authorizations) for plug-in and other software options.

With the launch of iLok-based Web licensing, you are now offered the choice of receiving a boxed version or a software download with immediate authorization via Web licensing.

Choose to purchase the Web-licensed version of a plug-in, and you're able to begin using it in your Pro Tools sessions right away. And, of course, you can still purchase boxed versions of plug-ins and other software options through Real Image.

With Web license purchases, you can choose to have plug-in licenses downloaded in real time to your inserted iLok, or have the iLok licenses deposited in a specified iLok.com account. You're working late on a Pro Tools session at a remote studio that doesn't have ReVibe? No problem: With an iLok USB key and an Internet connection, you can purchase the plug-in and activate its license in minutes.

iLok Web licensing also enables you to purchase rental licenses for all iLok-protected Digidesign and Bomb Factory plug-ins. As a practical example, if you're working on someone else's session that requires a specific plug-in, it can simply be rented, downloaded, and licensed in real time. What's more, the rental arrangement allows you to immediately renew any rental licenses that have expired.

Over forty plug-in options are now supported via rental licenses; additionally, Digidesign Development Partner plug-in rentals will be available soon.

• Preparation friendly - Rental period begins only when a license is transferred from an iLok.com account to an iLok Smart Key
• Workflow enhancement and flexibility - Activate rental licenses in seconds, and experiment with different plug-ins from the comfort of your studio environment. Rent plug-ins after demo period expiration and re-open sessions that used plug-ins in demo mode
